GDPR Policy – Information we collect.

When you use our services, we collect the following information:

Information, detailed in paragraph a), may be provided to us by other companies you have dealt with, and trade associations, trade exhibition organisers, etc, that we have in common. We do not purchase information from data harvesting sources, nor will we knowingly obtain data that you have not willingly shared.

  1. the type of equipment you use/intend to use;
  2. the product/type of product with which you intend using the equipment;
  3. the purpose of the equipment’s use;
  4. any third party equipment you intend to use in conjunction with ours

At your request, a confidentiality agreement will be considered and signed by our company representative, upon consent of all parties to the terms, in order to protect the commercial interests of both parties.

How we use information:

Provide, maintain, develop and improve our service to you

Using the information we collect, we are able to deliver our services to you and honour our Terms and Conditions with you. We also use the information we collect to improve and personalise our services to you, and to develop new ones. For example, we use the information to troubleshoot and protect against inappropriate or incorrect use of the equipment we supply; to maintain and improve the safety of the equipment we supply; to perform product testing and data analysis; to conduct research; to develop new features and services.

Communication with you

We use your information to respond to you when you contact us. We may also use your details to promote new features or products that are likely to be appropriate for your industry.

All telephonic communication to and from Hi-Tech Machinery on our main telephone number is recorded for business purposes only, and will be retained until such time as there is no longer a legitimate business or legal reason.                                                                                                         

For external processing

We may need to transfer information to our suppliers, and other partners who process information, to be able to meet your requirements, based on our instructions, and in compliance with this policy and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures. These partners provide us with equipment and services for purposes of equipment supply, customer support, information and communications technology.

We also retain information about you and your use of the equipment and services we provide for as long as necessary for our legitimate business interests and for legal and product safety reasons.
